1) "The future of carbon markets under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement"
Mr. Aki Kachi is a climate policy analyst at NewClimate Institute working on carbon pricing and climate finance. With almost 10 years of experience in the climate policy field, Aki has contributed to and led a number of projects at the UNFCCC, EU, national and local policy levels. Particular areas of expertise include climate finance, national climate policy planning, the design and implementation of emissions trading schemes as well as baseline and crediting mechanisms. His recent work includes research on the alignment of global financial flows with the Paris Agreement, the design of a carbon price for international shipping, and various projects around the future of carbon markets under the Paris Agreement.
2) "Climate Change as Discourse and Practice in Coastal Landscapes"
Dr. Werner Krauß is an environmental anthropologist from artec Sustainability Research Center, University of Bremen. His main interests are the anthropology of landscapes, political ecology and the anthropocene. He conducted fieldwork in Portugal and Germany about environmental conflicts, sustainable development, climate change and the energy transition. He studied the production of climate knowledge and the role of science in the climate debate, and he discussed climate issues on an interdisciplinary weblog (Die Klimazwiebel). In 2013, he published a book about the precarious vicinity of climate research and politics (Die Klimafalle, with HvStorch), and he was a contributing author to the IPCC report AR5, WGII. In 2018, he was a fellow at the Rachel Carson Center in Munich.

SRM Talks is an accredited TUM university group from a group of students of the graduate program Sustainable Resource Management at TUM. The purpose of SRM Talks is to organize monthly talks under the motto “SRM talks challenges of the future”. The topics of interest for these talks gravitate around environmental issues and sustainable solutions such as nature conservation, green finance, renewable energy, waste management, etc.
